This year, we celebrate 60 years of the Likovni salon gallery that has been enriching the art scene in Celje and beyond since 1963, and 30 years of the Gallery of Contemporary Art that was opened in 1993 when we acquired the exhibition space in the Princely Palace. The residence program Artist on a Work Visit AIR CELEIA was founded in 2005; late that year, we also opened the Račka Gallery.
Small bits of the photo documentation from the last 30 years highlight especially the moments, captured by the camera, that illustrate the variety of the Centre for Contemporary Arts’ program, and the social aspect of the exhibitions that function as an important link between contemporary art and the local community.
