Artist’s statement
The installation Wind in the Heart was created under the impression of the song Listening Wind by Talking Heads. The sculptures represent the pain in the heart when leaving the homeland with the realisation that a return may never be possible. The colours on the hearts are the colours of the flags of the countries in which wars or military conflicts with thousands of victims took place at the time the piece was created.
